ORLANDO, Fla.—Visit Orlando has appointed Jessica Sibley as senior director of convention sales, overseeing citywide strategic initiatives and leading efforts to attract and secure national and international conventions, trade shows, and events.
Sibley brings more than 17 years of experience in the group sales industry. She most recently served as director of sales for the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort, where she led group sales performance, developed strategies to drive business during need periods, and supported overall commercial operations.
In her new role, she will manage the Visit Orlando convention sales team and guide business development efforts focused on large-scale citywide meetings. She will report to vice president of sales and services Stephanie Naegele.
“Our goal at Visit Orlando is to remain the top meetings destination in the country,” says Casandra Matej, president and CEO for Visit Orlando. “Jessica’s track record of leading high-performing sales teams and delivering strong results will be a tremendous asset as we strengthen our footprint in the industry.”
Sibley’s appointment comes as the Orange County Convention Center moves forward with its Grand Concourse expansion, a $560 million project that will add a 100,000-square-foot ballroom and 44,000 square feet of flexible meeting space to the North-South Building by late 2029.
“Orlando is an extraordinary meetings destination with incredible momentum, especially with the expansion of the Orange County Convention Center on the horizon,” says Sibley. “Now I have the opportunity to work alongside one of the top convention sales teams in the country as we elevate our citywide business even higher.”
Sibley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration from Florida State University. She spent more than a decade at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort, with roles including catering sales manager, group sales manager, and assistant director of sales before becoming director of sales. In addition, she also previously worked for Reunion Resort in group sales and catering sales.
