Just a short drive from Nashville, the Wilson County towns of Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, and Watertown provide planners with historic and cultural richness, boutique shopping and local artisans, a delicious local food scene, scenic beauty and outdoor activities, and a welcoming community, says Brittany Hoffmann, marketing
specialist for Wilson County CVB. “Wilson County embodies quintessential Southern charm with its friendly, welcoming community. Our county’s historic town squares and landmarks provide a glimpse into its rich heritage and offer a picturesque backdrop for events and meetings. Plus, we have modern facilities and accommodations to cater to meetings and events of all sizes.”
The county’s schedule is filled with festivals, fairs, and events, including Wilson County Fair, one of the largest county fairs in Tennessee. Nashville Superspeedway is a major attraction, with races throughout the year. Other county attractions planners might incorporate into a function include local farms and wineries with tours, tastings, and farm-to-table experiences; the nostalgic Stardust Drive-In Theater, and Cedar City Fall Brewer’s Festival, held every October.
Farm Bureau Expo Center is the county’s largest event space, with 79,000 total square feet, including a 45,000-square-foot main exhibit hall and 7,000 square feet of divisible meeting space. Other event spaces include the 92-room Hilton Garden Inn Mt. Juliet, with 4,200 square feet of meeting space to seat 300 guests theater style; Courtyard by Marriott, with space to host 128 for banquets; and Holiday Inn & Suites, with 1,500 square feet of event space. Del Monaco Winery in Watertown has four indoor and outdoor venues to accommodate 500 guests, and Assembly Hall at Cedars of Lebanon State Park can seat 250 for dinners.
