Oklahoma City—OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark, managed by Benchmark Resorts & Hotels, is now open in the new Horizons District. Situated along the Oklahoma River and just minutes from downtown Oklahoma City, OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark features 404 guest rooms and suites, several dining spots, retail shops, a family entertainment center, and a sizeable indoor water park and 4.5-acre outdoor lagoon.
In celebration of its opening, OKANA launched its “DOORSOPEN” booking promotion, offering specialty rates of up to 30 percent off for stays from Feb. 21 through April 30, 2025.
“The vision of OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark is now a reality, bringing an incredible landmark right to the heart of Oklahoma City,” says managing director Ken Leone. “We believe OKANA is not only a source of joy and recreation for travelers but also a valuable asset for our community, offering exhilarating water adventures, elevated dining, and entertainment. We’re thrilled to open our doors to both guests and locals to experience the magic of OKANA.”
The 100,000-square-foot indoor water park—the largest in the region—features a wave pool, a lazy river, an adult-only pool, a kiddie pool, luxury cabanas, and 15 water slides, including body slides, tube slides, raft slides, and kiddie slides.
OKANARAMA!, the 20,000-square-foot family entertainment center, has interactive arcade games, arts and crafts, prizes, and two-story laser tag. Guests can also enjoy immersive escape-room experiences, three outdoor event spaces, and retail shops. OKANA’S day spa includes seven treatment rooms, nail stations, and saunas.
The resort offers 13 dining and beverage outlets, including baseball-inspired Curveball Kitchen, gastropub Jack Rabbit, modern taqueria Chido, and barbecue restaurant Smokehouse Social. In addition to the sit-down dining options, OKANA’s concessions also offer fast-casual grub for on-the-go visitors.
For overnight guests, OKANA’s guest rooms and suites range from 420 to 720 square feet. Families can take advantage of suite options, such as the OKA’ Suite, with two queen beds and a bunk bed; or the Inkana Suite, with two queen beds and one king bed and a semi-private living area.
“The opening of OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark is an exciting milestone for Oklahoma City’s tourism industry, adding a dynamic new experience to the Horizons District,” says Zac Craig, president of Visit Oklahoma City. “This one-of-a-kind destination will draw visitors and locals year-round, further expanding our city’s diverse offerings. At Visit OKC, we are thrilled to see OKANA welcome its first guests and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our community and local economy.”
