ORLANDO, Fla.—Orlando welcomed a record 76.7 million visitors in 2025, maintaining its position as the most-visited destination in the United States, according to Visit Orlando.

The destination’s official tourism association announced visitation increased 1.8% over 2024 totals during its annual National Travel & Tourism Week event at the Orange County Convention Center.

Domestic visitation climbed 2.2% to a record 70.3 million visitors, with overnight travelers accounting for 49.2 million of those visitors, a 1.8% increase year over year. Florida residents visiting Orlando increased by 3.4%, though most domestic travelers continued to come from out of state.

International visitation declined 2.4% to 6.3 million visitors, driven largely by reduced travel from Canada. Despite the decline, Canada remained Orlando’s largest international market, with 1.1 million visitors in 2025.

The United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina rounded out the region’s top international markets. Several markets, including the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Japan, reached record highs during the year.

Orlando International Airport also launched its first nonstop passenger charter flights to Tokyo earlier this year, marking Florida’s first direct air service to the Asia-Pacific region.

Leisure travel continued to dominate Orlando’s visitor mix in 2025, accounting for 81% of domestic visitors, while domestic business travelers represented 10%, and international visitors accounted for 8%.

The meetings and conventions sector also continued to grow, with group meetings visitation increasing 3.1% year over year to 5.8 million visitors.

“Orlando’s continued growth in the group meetings segment is a testament to our community’s unwavering commitment to being the premier destination for corporate, association, and incentive meetings and events,” says Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. “With major infrastructure enhancement projects underway at the Orange County Convention Center and Orlando International Airport, Orlando is well-positioned to continue leading as the top choice of meeting planners today and in the years ahead.”

To support future meetings and tourism growth, the Orange County Convention Center has begun construction on its $560 million Grand Concourse Expansion. The project will add 44,000 square feet of meeting space and a 100,000-square-foot ballroom to the facility’s North-South Building, with completion planned for 2029.

Meanwhile, Orlando International Airport is moving forward with $5.9 billion in projects aimed at expanding capacity, modernizing facilities, and enhancing the passenger experience by 2030.
