Hotel Phoenix, a major new luxury property anchoring the $5 billion Centennial Yards redevelopment in downtown Atlanta, opened December 1 under Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ L.V.X collection. Hotel Phoenix is the premier hotel of the 50-acre Centennial Yards mixed-use entertainment development by Centennial Yards Company, in partnership with an affiliate of CIM Group and a group led by Tony Ressler.

The Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, Ga., recently appointed industry veteran Fredia M. Brady as senior director of sales and marketing. She will start officially on June 16. Brady previously helped open the facility and served in the same position until 2017.

The Rainwater Conference Center in Valdosta, Ga., appointed three new team members to enhance the meetings and events team and to manage the recently renovated facility. The conference center completed approximately $1 million in upgrades last year.
