HOUSTON—The Westin Houston, Memorial City, a 289-key hotel within the 300-acre mixed-use Memorial City development in Houston, has completed a multimillion-dollar reimagining of its 33,000-square-foot meeting and event venues. Located on the second, third and fourth floors, The Westin Memorial City’s renovated venues are curated for corporate meetings, weddings, and business travelers.
Carolyn Auger of Atlanta-based interior design firm Blackdog Studio oversaw the project’s redesign. Using contemporary, residential, and organic touches in theme with The Westin’s modern luxury aesthetic, the renovation and redesign included new wallpaper, carpet, light fixtures, furniture, artwork, and curtains. The custom carpet’s design draws inspiration from Houston’s rich history as an oil and gas hub, and its proximity to the Gulf Coast and interconnected waterways. Houston-based DPR Construction served as the project’s contractor.
The Westin Houston, Memorial City’s 33,000 square feet of versatile event space includes 29 meeting rooms. One of its anchor spaces is the 10,425-square-foot Azalea Ballroom, which can comfortably host more than 1,000 guests. All the event spaces are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art audiovisual services, and customizable menu options.

Located at 945 Gessner Road, The Westin Houston, Memorial City is immediately accessible via I-10 off of Gessner Road and is within 30 miles of George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport. The hotel’s central positioning within Memorial City offers guests proximity to Memorial City Mall, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, and an assortment of destination-worthy dining options.
