ATLANTA, Ga. — Ground has been broken for Motto by Hilton in Atlanta, a new lifestyle, micro-hotel brand with a mix of rooms, offices and meeting spaces.
One of the first U.S. locations for Hilton’s new brand, the 146-room Motto by Hilton Atlanta Old Fourth Ward is scheduled to open in 2021.
Motto will join Waldo’s, named after philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson, an $80-million mixed-use development project that will include food and beverage outlets and commercial and residential spaces.
The development is led by Lucror Resources and equity partner Sixty West. The hotel will be operated by Hospitality Ventures Management Group, an Atlanta-based management company that operates 43 hotels and convention centers in 17 states.
“As we build on Motto by Hilton’s unique take on today’s lifestyle hotel experience with efficient micro guest rooms, linking rooms for group travel, innovative technology, vibrant communal space … we are excited to celebrate this groundbreaking moment in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward,” said Tripp McLaughlin, global brand head, Motto by Hilton.

The property will have an underground parking deck, landscaped courtyard, expansive bar and restaurant, coffee shop, and a “Living Room” area, “where work, play and communing are encouraged.”
Hilton will continue development of its micro-hotel brand with seven properties slated to open over the next three years and close to 20 additional leads in 10 countries.
